The Wake Forest University Alumni Council acts as a link between the University administration and the alumni body of over 82,000. Its mission is to sustain a fully informed, representative, and engaged exchange of information and sentiment between alumni and the university, and to foster a lifelong relationship of mutual and enduring benefit between all present and future alumni and the University.
The Alumni Council will support the overall advancement of Wake Forest by:
- Engaging all alumni for life
- Building a culture of philanthropy among alumni
- Nurturing strong intellectual and emotional connections between the University and alumni
- Being a communication channel for alumni to the University.
The Alumni Council, in partnership with the university, will accomplish its mission through excellence in communication, coordination and collaboration. This mutually beneficial relationship serves as the premier go-to global home for engagement of the Wake Forest family of current and future alumni.

Who is on the Alumni Council?
Currently, there are 50 members from all across the country, representing a broad range of class years and degrees. Each Council member serves a four-year term. The current President of the Alumni Council is Shelley Holden ’00, JD ’03.
